MY IDOL – BY ALEXANDRE
GEORGE LUCAS IS A FAMOUS DIRECTOR, WRITER AND PRODUCER OF FILMS. HE WAS BORN AND GREW UP IN MODESTO, CALIFORNIA. HE STUDIED CINEMA IN THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA – USC.
HIS FIRST EXPERIENCES WITH MOVIES WAS A SHORT FILM NAMED “THX-1138”. THIS MOVIE IMPRESSED FRANCIS COPOLLA AND HE CONVINCED THE WARNER BROS TO FINANCE A LONG VERSION OF THE
“THX-1138” MOVIE FOR GEORGE LUCAS.
UNFORTUNATELY, THE “THX-1138” LONG VERSION WAS A FAILURE.
GEORGE LUCAS ONLY BECAME A SUCCESS WITH “AMERICAN GRAFFITI” – AN INDEPENDENT MOVIE ABOUT CARS, WHICH WAS A PHENOMENON AND OPENED THE DOORS OF FAME.
“STAR WARS” WAS HIS FIRST GREAT MOVIE.
